What did the composers Niccolo Paganini, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, Giacomo Puccini, Ludwig van Beethoven and Alma Mahler eat and drink? Tasty Tones is a 6-part mini-series combining cultural history, classical music and cooking. The short format is employed as an asset in the editing and the visualisation as a whole. Music and cooking sounds give the narrative rhythm. Each episode is supplemented with an animated sound recipe. Musicologist Susanna Välimäki and Yle’s Janne Koskinen join the composers at their dining tables with lashings of clutter, banter and humour.
