The International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn 2017 is one of the world’s most prestigious piano competitions and will kick off with a Welcome Concert on 30 November at 8:00 pm at Deutsche Telekom headquarters and continue in three rounds of competition before the final on 9 December: a Beethoven piano concerto, accompanied by the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. The competitors – 28 young pianists from 17 different countries – were selected by the top-class nine-member jury led by jury chairman Professor Pavel Gililov from a field of 88 applicants and will now face off in Beethoven’s birth city.
