The brothers Jiri and Otto Bubenicek, two of the most outstanding dancers of the world ballet scene, celebrated their 40th birthday in 2014. Both of them, at this occasion, announced the end of their career. In the second half of 2014 and in 2015, they said goodbye to their home stages; Jiri to the Dresden Semper Opera and Otto to the world-famous opera in Hamburg. For the majority of dancers, four decades mark the end of their artistic career. That is not the case with the Bubenicek brothers. They only close one stage of their life, and their superb career gradually moves into an equally interesting creative period.
