Although it is a mission of the heart, star pianist Lang Lang has to cancel the Zurich edition of his youth programme 101 Pianists due to an inflammation in his left hand. For one hundred kids, tutors and families this marks the beginning of an emotional journey between worries and high hopes. Barbara Seiler’s documentary tells the story of five young local pianists who prepare for the big day with Lang Lang and share one hope: to become the Chinese superstar’s new master student!
