The Alpentöne festival in Altdorf, located in the heart of Switzerland, is a hotspot for traditional and innovative sounds from the whole Alpine region. It is the place where vocalists and instrumentalists meet to celebrate the entire spectrum of rootsy and progressive folk music. Christian Zehnder, a celebrated overtone singer and musical innovator himself, leads through the 3-day festival. Besides performing himself, he visits and speaks with fellow musicians and interacts with the festival audience. This documentary is a musical journey through the Alps.
