After 35 years, we see the return to La Scala of the first masterpiece from Gaetano Donizetti’s trilogy on the English Queens. Anna Bolena – di Re Consorte is a documentary in which the maestro Ion Marin accompanies us behind-the-scenes of the production staged in April 2017, explaining how such an important opera was reinterpreted. The temple of Milanese opera also opened its doors for us, allowing us to accompany the conductor and meet the other main artistes involved in this performance.
