Bach In Seven Words

In 2008, they received honours of the musical world for their first disc dedicated to Bach. In 2017, after masses and passions, the Pygmalion musicians and Raphaël Pignon, accompanied by soloists chosen amongst their regular collaborators (Sabine Devieilhe, Julian Prégardien, Christian Immler), devoted themselves to cantatas. Around this exceptional casting, Raphaël Pichon has invited the choreographer Saburo Teshigawara who accompanies the third Brandenburg Concerto. In pair with Rihoko Sato, his trusted partner and muse, he creates a dance that combines strength and lightness, rigour and releasing. The magic operates in obvious but puzzling ways.
