BBC Proms: London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Simon Rattle Perform Schönberg's Gurrelieder
Sir Simon Rattle starts his tenure as the London Symphony Orchestra’s new Music Director with a supersize scale performance of Arnold Schönberg’s Gurrelieder at the prestigious BBC Proms. Among the outstanding vocal soloists are Eva-Maria Westbroek – “seductively expressive” (The Guardian), Simon O’Neill and Karen Cargill whose enchanting song of the Wood-Dove is “one of the highlights of the evening” (Evening Standard).
