Billy Budd by Benjamin Britten based on the novel by Herman Melville. First performed at the Royal Opera House on 1951, this contemporary opera is produced by the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma in coproduction with Teatro Real of Madrid, the Opéra National de Paris and the Finnish National Opera. Conducted by the American James Conlon, staged by renowned British director Deborah Warner and featuring the South African baritone Jacques Imbrailo, the opera is an international production and an unforgettable experience.
