Blomstedt Conducts Beethoven's Triple Concerto
With over three centuries of exceptional music-making behind it, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig has the great German symphonic tradition in every fibre of its collective being. The 90-year-old former Gewandhauskapellmeister Herbert Blomstedt’s command in this music is beyond compare. In Beethoven’s Triple Concerto the partner of Blomstedt is a dream team of the younger generation of concert soloists consisting of Martin Helmchen (piano), Isabelle Faust (violin) and Jean-Guihen Queyras (cello).
