Carmen By Georges Bizet
In less than two seasons, Carmen has become an immortal masterpiece. As if the opera's heroine had bewitched the composer dictating him these musical pages that we all know by heart, from the Habanera to the Toreador Song. Stage director Nicola Berloffa accepts the challenge of a piece that is dramatic and yet full of light and colours. To come up to this opera, you have to go deeply into its parts of carefreeness and darkness, like in the famous scene of the card trio, and above all, let the music spread at every moment.
