Danijel Zezelj

Cartoonist, illustrator and graphic designer Danijel Zezelj is one of the most important contemporary Croatian artists. He has produced around twenty graphic novels and five animated films, he lives in Zagreb and Brooklyn, and he publishes strip cartoons, books and illustrations all over the world. However, in addition to comic books and illustrations, Zezelj also gives multimedia performances, where he paints before an audience, to the sound of live music, usually jazz. Not only is jazz a frequent motif and topic of his works, but for Danijel Zezelj jazz appears to be the beginning and the end of everything. An inseparable part of his creation.
