Eugene Onegin
A legendary performance of the opera was staged in Moscow in 1922 by Konstantin S. Stanislavsky. Helikon-Opera announced the reconstruction of this historic performance. It is not a “dead” reconstruction, but a replica of the Stanislavsky staging, it is a performance in which his principles of work are reincarnated and the exterior picture of the mise en scenes is preserved. This performance is a very contemporary one by its spirit, by the emotional strength and dynamic development. The dramatic images created by Tchaikovsky himself were fully maintained in Dmitry Bertman’s creation.
