Eurovision Choir Of The Year 2017

A brand new TV competition featuring Europe's best amateur choirs who competed for the title Eurovision Choir of the Year. Choirs from 9 EBU member countries Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Slovenia, Hungary and Wales performed six-minute choir music of different genres and were judged by a prominent international jury: British composer John Rutter, renowned Latvian mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca and Swiss conductor Nicolas Fink. The show was hosted by well-known American composer Eric Whitacre and LTV culture presenter Eva Johansone. The event took place at Arena Riga and was broadcast by EBU member countries, and streamed worldwide.
