Fractus V By Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui At The Maison De La Danse In Lyon

  • © DR

When dancers embody philosophy. Choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, this ballet gives form to the theories of Noam Chomsky, American philosopher and linguist interested in matters relating to objectivity, manipulation, and relationships between individuals and society. Freedom of expression is at the heart of Fractus V. This metaphyiscal work gains its strength from the heteronomy of its performers, whether dancers or musicians, coming from all around the world with their unique background and talents. A multicultural meeting that reveals the importance of openness and tolerance.
