"I made this piece for ten dancers, using music by Camille Saint-Saëns. This French romantic music creates an enormous challenge. It is a very demanding score that has been a clear and sometimes overbearing guide in how to dive into movement. I consider this work to be abstract rather than narrative. For me, it's a study of many things, not just the study of music." (Medhi Walerski) Known for his very delicate pieces involving rigorous technique and big casts, he has a gracious understanding of the dynamics of human relations, with a quasi-sacred and mystical approach.
