Great Performances once again joins the Recording Academy to celebrate the 2017 GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement recipients with an unforgettable concert, led by Paul Shaffer as musical director, at New York City’s Beacon Theatre. The 2017 honorees include Shirley Caesar, Ahmad Jamal, Charley Pride, Jimmie Rodgers, Nina Simone, Sly Stone, Thom Bell, Mo Ostin, and the Velvet Underground, with tribute performances by Dionne Warwick, Andra Day, Kirk Franklin, Randy Newman, Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Wilson, Valerie Simpson, Vernon Reid, and more.
