Il Trovatore By Giuseppe Verdi At Gran Teatre Del Liceu

  • Il Trovatore © A. Bofill

Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi has known a wide success in Italy at the moment of its first performance before it triumphed all across Europe. It has now established itself as a pillar of the repertoire, a successful mix between Italian melodrama and Spanish exaltation. Daniele Callegari leads the Orchestra and the Choir of Barcelona’s Liceu and works closely with Joan Anton Rechi, the stage director. Joan Anton Rechi has enhanced this triumph of the darkest and wildest romanticism with Goya engravings.
