Indecent is the latest play by Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel and is inspired by the true story of the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance. The New York Times called Indecent “superbly realized and remarkably powerful,” and critics have hailed it as one of the best plays of the year, with the production garnering a 2017 Tony Award for director Rebecca Taichman.
