Kein Licht By Philippe Manoury At The Opéra Comique

  • Kein Licht at Opéra Comique © Les Films Jack Fébus

French composer Philippe Manoury, with his fifth lyrical work Kein Licht, sets to music words by Jelinek for the first time. It promises to be an invitation to use the live show to feed our reflection on the world. In this Thinkspiel, a work to reflect, reflection is a theatrical material in which the composer even intervenes twice. Spoken and sung voices allow, with the support of electronics, to explore all forms of vocality. Philippe Manoury uses computing resources – from musical writing to the theatrical interpretation – and implements his piece on stage by means including visual projection and 3D creation.
