Laurence Equilbey Leads The Creation By Haydn
Written between 1796 and 1798, The Creation is Haydn at its finest. Inspired by the Bible as much as by the Enlightenment, this oratorio is a declaration of love and of hope to mankind. Laurence Equilbey and the Insula Orchestra work with the Accentus Choir and five soloists: Sunhae Im (soprano), Mari Eriksmoen (soprano), Daniel Schmutzhard (baritone), Martin Mitterrutzner (tenor) and Benjamin Bruns (tenor). An innovative scenery designed by the Spanish group La Fura dels Baus which beautifully illustrates relationships between the macrocosm and the microcosm, between mankind and the divine.
