Legris Gala

Manuel Legris, who had been Etoile of the Paris Opéra Ballet for 23 years, currently serves as Director of the Vienna State Ballet. He flew to Japan with rising performers from his ballet company and presented a colourful programme with must-see highlights from the romantic and contemporary ballet. Together with Isabelle Guérin, his former partner at the Paris Opéra Ballet, Legris himself performed the Farewell Waltz and Les Rendez-vous. He also gave a world premiere of a new solo work. Guest performers included Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov, Principals of the Royal Ballet as well as Olga Smirnova and Semyon Chudin, Principals of the Bolshoi Ballet, whom Legris regards highly.
