Lenka Vagnerova & Company: Gossip

Gossip as a cultural phenomenon of mankind is the topic of this production combining dance, physical, puppet and dramatic theatre. Against the backdrop of a birthday party, we see violent, merciless drama unfold without a drop of blood. It is apparent that an evil use of words spreads fast, starts blooming and grows into hypocrisy, manipulation and cruelty. The piece by director and choreographer Lenka Vagnerova can be classified as complex or absolute theatre. Colourful images achieved by minimalistic scenic resources, unexpected intertwining of dance and acting action and captivating performances by the protagonists are in the centre of this exceptional adaptation of contemporary Czech theatre work.
