When observing the jazz scene, it is impossible not to notice the growing influence of Croatian traditional music. The name of Tamara Obrovac is nowadays a synonym for Istrian music dressed in a jazz form. With her latest project, the Transadriatic Project, Tamara Obrovac extends her musical interests across the Mediterranean basin.The young Mak Murtic, who has been exploring a wider Balkan region with his big band, has been gaining popularity as well as Filip Novosel and Tihomir Hojsak have been interested in the music of Slavonia and the surrounding regions.
