To be a composer means to share joy, love and emotions and to find harmony at least in music. The documentary reveals the life of the composer, from his beginnings in former Soviet Russia, and tells how creative energy transforms into music filled with pain, suffering, feelings of love and beauty and longing for harmony in the modern world. The film allows us to discover the sources of inspiration for the music of Peteris Vasks: the marvellous nature of Latvia, childhood in the family of a pastor in Soviet times and the endless joie de vivre present in every moment.
