But the rise of a particular genre has revealed an ugly subculture of "murder music", and Jamaica's rich music heritage got hijacked by a vicious and violent brand of homophobia. But along came a new generation of artists who, with a little help from the Internet, are wresting it back. In this documentary, Eric Campbell explores the complexities of this social and musical culture.
