Pierre Hantaï & Skip Sempé At Gajoen Tokyo

  • © NHK – Japan Broadcasting Corporation

Pierre Hantaï and Skip Sempé are the world’s top harpsichord players who have studied with Gustav Leonhardt. The two geniuses descended on Gajoen Tokyo, a historic building with resplendent interior. Through fine 4K recording system, NHK captured the collaboration between harpsichord music that flourished in the West in the 17th century and architecture that conveys to this day the colourful and splendid aesthetics that bloomed in the early Edo Period in 17th-century Japan. It is a footage much coveted by aficionados of baroque music.
