Pinocchio At The Aix-En-Provence Festival

More faithful to the original tale than had been Walt Disney, Pommerat offers a Pinocchio which is more ambiguous, more provoking, and therefore more human. For this production, he works with the composer Philippe Boesmans and the performer Chloé Briot, interpreting the famous puppet. Her wanderings lead her from a cabaret to a circus, through a classroom. Places where Pinocchio encounters colourful protagonists which will help him determine what is right and what is wrong. Conductor Emilio Pomarico will lead the Klangforum Wien.
