As if releasing a jazz album was not enough... It seems this was the thought that accompanied Vedran Ruzic, an artist from Rijeka – who is not only a bass player and composer, but also a painter – from the very beginning of this very complex artistic project. His idea was to paint, in music, the journey of Marco Polo, from Croatian shores all the way to China, and thereby bring together in a way not only the melodies of Kvarner Bay and classical Renaissance motifs, but also distant, oriental tunes.
