Stepping Into The Unknown – Christian Spuck's Production Of Verdi's Requiem

Christian Spuck is a master storyteller and his language is dance. For Verdi’s Messa da Requiem, the choreographer envisioned images of movement created solely from the emotionality of Verdi’s music. The documentary Stepping into the Unknown accompanies Spuck from his first sketches to managing a gigantic cast of 36 dancers, 100 choir singers, soloists and an orchestra, and on to navigating numerous uncertainties and all the sleepless nights it caused. The path to standing ovations at the Opernhaus Zurich premiere was unlit and adventurous, but it proved Spuck right once again: who dares wins!
