Stuttgart Ballet: Romeo And Juliet By John Cranko

  • Elisa Badenes, David Moore © Stuttgart Ballett

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the "Ballettwunder Stuttgart", the Stuttgart Ballet comes up with jubilee productions of John Cranko's three legendary ballets: Romeo and Juliet, Onegin and The Taming of the Shrew, all recorded in UHD at the Staatsoper Stuttgart. It was the choreography of Romeo and Juliet, the first ballet Cranko created for the Stuttgart ensemble, that laid the foundation of the company’s world success. In Jürgen Rose’s magnificent sets, all-time stars of the ensemble perform side by side with rising talents. “If you think you’ve seen Romeo and Juliet, think again. This is a revelation.” (Daily Express)
