Since 2004, the Summer Night Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic evolved to a much-valued annual tradition. The Schönbrunn palace gardens form the magnificent backdrop of this free musical gift that the orchestra is donating to the people of Vienna and its visitors. In 2017, American star-soprano Renée Fleming gave her debut on the summery concert stage in Schönbrunn. Christoph Eschenbach conducted the Vienna Philharmonic featuring a musical programme inspired by tales and myths.
