Teodor Currentzis And The SWR Symphony Orchestra

Teodor Currentzis both delights and divides the world of classical music. But it is undisputed that the Greek conductor is an exceptional talent and a superb musician. Some even consider him to be the most highly-rated conductor at the present time. At the beginning of the season 2018/2019, Currentzis will become principal conductor of the SWR Symphony Orchestra. Andreas Ammer’s film is a portrait of the outstanding conductor Currentzis and his work with the SWR Symphony Orchestra. The film focuses on the preparations and rehearsals for the inaugural concert with the new conductor in September 2018 and on the concert itself.
