The Art Of Dialogue

This documentary examines the very special spirit and ethos of the Stuttgart Opera house, which under director Wieler and his leadership team is renowned for working in a way probably unique in the world of opera. Here opera is understood as an integrative team-effort, the result of a permanent dialogue between artists, various professions within the house and the public. The preparations for Tchaikovsky’s opera Queen of Spades form the framework of the film in which we are able observe closer than ever before how director duo Wieler and Morabito, stage designer Anna Viebrock, general music director Sylvain Cambreling and the opera director Eva Kleinitz work.
