Tim Mead Interprets Vivaldi's Stabat Mater And Nisi Dominus

  • © Benjamin Ealovega

Tim Mead enlightens us with two pieces by Antonio Vivaldi: Nisi Dominus and Stabat Mater. The former is a cantata filled with serenity, while the latter is the cristallisation of Mary’s pain as she is faced with her son’s ordeal. Often played together, those highly spiritual compositions match perfectly the stained-glass windows and aerial lines of the Sainte-Chapelle, a magnificient location listed as a UNESCO world heritage. The orchestra Les Accents and the conductor Thibault Noally will play alongside Tim Mead.
