Timo Rautiainen & Ville Ojanen

Timo Rautiainen is a Finnish heavy metal singer, guitarist and songwriter. He’s best known band is Timo Rautiainen & Trio Niskalaukaus. 2008 Timo performed at Kaustinen Folk Music Festival and since then his heart beats for Finninsh folk music and acustic instruments like bouzouki. Ville Ojanen is born in Kaustinen and he learned the villages famous traditional fiddling style as a child. Nowadays he mixes the folk tradition and contemporary musical influences to create new sounds and ideas. He’s album “Kameleontti” was 2016 IMA nominee in instrumental music. In this concert Rautiainen and Ojanen combine their musical backrounds. In interview they discuss about their songs and contemporary Finnish folk music.
