Vadim Repin And Nikolay Lugansky – Moscow Recital

Vadim Repin’s international breakthrough came in 1989, when Repin became the youngest-ever winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. The violinist has won numerous prizes including an ECHO Award as Instrumentalist of the Year 1999 and the Diapason d’Or. Nikolai Lugansky is a pianist of extraordinary depth and versatility, capable of great refinement and breathtaking virtuosity. His recent recital recording, featuring Rachmaninoff's two Piano Sonatas, won the Diapason d’Or and the Solo Recording of the Year at ECHO Klassik Awards. Programme of the concert: Debussy's Sonata in G minor, Ravel's Sonata No. 2 and Beethoven's Sonata No. 9 (Kreutzer).
