Playing with his elbow and forearm, then with the very end of his fingertips, from French baroque with composer Rameau to American jazz with Frederic Rzewski, Ji Liu is a prodigious pianist with a limitless repertoire. “I am trying to show different aspects of myself to the listener”, he says to a journalist from the Literaturnaya Gazeta, and we would add that he succeeds with brio and great sensibility.
