Classical composer Heitor Villa-Lobos was born into popular music playing with street musicians in his native city of Rio de Janeiro. In a Jazzy Mood brings a fresh reading to Villa-Lobos' best known works, like Bachianas No. 5 and No. 2 (Little Train of the Countryman) as well as to some not so evident works in which his composite compositional style brings into light the best of his Brazilian roots.
