A thrilling new opera for two voices, instrumental ensemble and electronics by Agata Zubel based on Heiner Müller’s text. Bildbeschreibung resulted from Müller’s encounter with an image drawn by Emilia Kolewa, a student of stage design in Sofia at the time. Agata Zubel, one of the most fascinating Polish artists in modern music, composed the music for this challenging piece. It was shot during this year’s Warszawska Jesien, the biggest international Polish festival of contemporary music.
