Alondra de la Para has gained widespread attention for her vibrant performances and her commitment to Latin American composers, as well as for joining the Queensland Symphony Orchestra as their very first Music Director. The appointment is a dream job for de la Parra, who knew already at the age of 13 that she wanted to be a conductor. Today, the mother-of-two leads prestigious orchestras, and naturally is a world traveller. Clearly breaking barriers is standard fare for the Mexican conductor. The documentary traces the multiple facets of Alondra’s life, wielding the baton across cultures and various musical genres.
