Okinawa: Island Of Music And Dance Where Life Is Cherished

The programme focuses on Okinawa’s traditional music and dance characterized by joyous rhythm and melancholic melodies. Two dances will be introduced: the Kumi Odori, an elegant dance nurtured in the Ryukyu Kingdom of the old, and the Zo Odori, a dance with a common touch performed by actors after the fall of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
