Mahler’s Second Symphony is arguably one of his most popular works despite its unusually large proportions. In this live performance, Ivan Fischer conducts the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Fischer is known for his superlative interpretations of Mahler with an attention to detail and a musicianship which are served by the finest European instrumentalists gathered in “his” orchestra.
