Spoleto 60 Years
The Spoleto festival was created sixty years ago by the Italian-American composer Giancarlo Menotti. It takes place every year in the charming Italian village of Spoleto, in Umbria. The festival has been visited by the most important artists and creators involved in theatre, dance, music and literature. Based on rare archives and behind the scenes shootings of the 2017 edition, the film, hosted by Giorgio Ferrara (director of the festival since 2008) features Luchino Visconti, Rudolf Nureyev, Patrice Chéreau, Louis Malle, Thomas Schippers etc.
