Swan Lake – Ballet by Tchaikovsky

  • Boris Randzio and ensemble © Gert Weigelt

Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake is the most famous ballet of all time. The German dance company Ballett am Rhein presents Martin Schläpfer's version, in which the award-winning Swiss choreographer uses his remarkably individual dance vocabulary – both physical and highly expressive in equal measure – to carry us off into a world in which ghosts and unexplained phenomena are not yet dismissed as figments of our imagination. In the powerful film version of Peter Schönhofer, Martin Schläpfer's Swan Lake can now be seen on television.
