Abou Lagraa – In Search Of His Roots

Dancer and choreographer Abou Lagraa, son of Algerian Immigrants, was born and raised in Ardèche. He studied at the Conservatoire of Annonay and later in Lyon. After dancing with Ruis Horta and the Gulbankian Ballet, he founded his own company La Baraka in 1997.The Movimentos Festival named him best dancer in 2009 and invited his company in 2016. Filmmaker Fleur Albert shows him at work with amateurs and semi-professional hip-hop dancers and creating a new piece on Mozart´s Mass in C minor for the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève.
