Both Sides

  • Both Sides © Uldis Lapiņš

Both Sides creates a story based on Latvian history. For the first time in Latvian dance history, by mixing multiple dance styles, involving more than 450 ballet, contemporary and folk dancers on a stage with 2,000 square metres of art projections, a show is created where all elements used are equal in storytelling. Design, projections and choreography create a feeling of being immersed within the 3D imagery and allow the spectator to go on a hitherto unknown adventure, a challenge by itself. Work on projections and visuals took 3 years and was a professional and technical challenge. Both Sides has received the National Dance prize.
