For the first time, the new chief conductor Kirill Petrenko will be at the helm for the Berliner Philharmoniker’s New Year’s Eve concert – which at the same time reveals a new, vibrant facet to Petrenko’s repertoire. The concert also features star soprano Diana Damrau in songs from musicals by Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill and others.
