Holy Fire – Ermonela Jaho In Concert

A concert with the eminent soprano Ermonela Jaho, tailor-made to her artistic persona. The programme features rediscovered gems by the giovane scuola italiana such as Zandonai’s Francesca Da Rimini and Refice’s Cecilia along with classics such as Catalani’s La Wally and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and Tosca. In four of these pieces, Ermonela Jaho is accompanied by a mezzo-soprano and by a female choir, so that her soprano reveals even more colours against the background of the women’s voices. Filmed in the enchanting fin-de-siècle opera house in Baden-Baden, the concert unfolds like an uninterrupted storyline: a musical feature film.
