Klassik Open Air Nuremberg – Europe Beyond All Borders

The 2019 edition of the celebrated Klassik Open Air, held annually in August, again drew a huge audience to Nuremberg’s prime open-air music venue, the Luitpoldhain. 50,000 came to listen to the performance of the Nürnberger Symphoniker, the city’s leading symphony orchestra. Under the baton of chief conductor Kahchun Wong and joined by star trumpeter Sergei Nakarakov, the orchestra presented music by Wagner, Tchaikowsky, Pachelbel, Elgar and Mussorgsky’s famous Pictures Of An Exhibition. The programme was dedicated to the idea of Europe Beyond All Borders.
